Antoine Lienhardt’s Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is rooted in Burgundy’s oldest history. This 50-hectare vineyard, surrounded by centuries-old stone walls, was established by Cistercian monks in the 12th century, making Clos de Vougeot one of the most iconic Grands Crus of the Côte-de-Nuits. Grown on the fine, delicate limestone marl of this exceptional plot, this Pinot Noir reveals the full majesty of the terroir.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Antoine Lienhardt’s Clos de Vougeot is a rare union between a legendary terroir and a winemaker who rejects all artifice. Guided by a philosophy of total non-intervention, this wine embodies with absolute sincerity the nobility of a Grand Cru shaped by more than eight hundred years of history.

The nose combines morello cherry, graphite, and dried rose in a profile that is both mineral and floral, with a supreme elegance that bears the unique imprint of the vineyard’s calcareous marl.

The palate is full-bodied and structured, with a sense of restrained energy running through it. The salty, vibrant finish lingers on the palate for a long time.
