Clos du Mont Olivet's Rive Droitecuvée has long been a benchmark in the Southern Rhône Valley. Le Clos du Mont Olivet wine estates are exemplary in their fine winemaking style. The Rive Droite cuvée is a perfect example. A wine full of elegance, gourmandise and intensity. Grenache, Carignan, Merlot and Syrah grapes are subtly blended so that each grape brings its own identity to give the wine its balance. Whole-bunch harvesting adds depth and freshness.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Rive Droite cuvée is one of the most qualitative in this price range in the southern Rhône valley. Le Clos du Mont Olivet chose not to vinify this cuvée in wood, but in concrete vats , which is totally different from what is done in the sector. All these parameters make this wine so special. It's also their love for this complex terroir that gave them the determination to achieve such a fine result. Indeed, the soil is composed of pebbles, gravel, sand and limestone.

The nose is dominated by notes of ripe fruit. There's also a spicy edge, a touch of black coffee and a very noble vegetal touch. A wine of incredible complexity, even in its youth.

Full-bodied on the palate, with notes of clove and roasted hazelnut. Ripe fruit, chocolate and mint. The aromatic palette is remarkable. The finish is rounded off by beautiful bitters that add length to the palate.
