Wine Description

Domaine des Closiers ' Saumur Champigny Les Closiers is a Cabernet Franc from the limestone hillsides of Parnay, one of the most prestigious in the appellation. This cuvée has been created with the aim of offering a wine that is both fruity and full-bodied. The grapes are totally destemmed to avoid astringency and to ensure great drinkability.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Closiers cuvée from the Closiers wine estate is an excellent introduction to the style of the estate's wines. It's a wine of fine substance, with an engaging nose from the very first whiff. This is one of the best value wines in the appellation.

On the nose, delicate notes of dried roses, wild strawberries and magnificent hints of sweet spices. A wine that deserves a good oxygenation in its youth.

The palate is fine, in the purest style of the wine estate's wines. The fruity, floral and spicy expression is complete on the palate. Matter and tannins blend perfectly with the whole. A very engaging wine, ready to drink young.
