Wine Description

The Monsieur Gringet cuvée from the Gringet wine estate is a collector's cuvée made from the estate's most hillside vines. This blend features a wide variety of terroirs. These include white marl, limestone scree and, above all, iron-rich red marl and clay - parcels that have become iconic over time thanks to the work of Dominique Belluard. After his sudden death, long-time friendJean François Ganevat came to help his widow Valérie look after the family and the wines.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : This cuvée Monsieur Gringet, created as a tribute to Dominique Belluard, was finalized by the great Jean François Ganevat. He opted for ovoid ageing until the end, i.e. 18 months. This is the last wine made in part by Dominique before Vincent Ruiz takes over, a rising talent who idolizes Gringet as his "peer".

The nose is flattering, presenting itself in a beautiful light. It develops notes of apple compote, greengage, hay, sage and coriander. The nuances of the terroirs each bring their own touch, it's layered and harmonious, you can't help but salivate.

The palate is incisive, lively and exquisite. We rediscover the energy of the gringet we love so much, with that mineral touch so characteristic of the grape variety. The amplitude on the palate is remarkable, a tribute to the work of Dominique, the true Monsieur Gringet.
