Wine Description

Domaine Milan 's cuvée La Carrée Blanc is a pure, elegant expression of Roussanne, the emblematic grape variety of the Rhône Valley, here magnified on the sunny terroirs of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Classified as a Vin de France, this cuvée stands out for its finesse, aromatic complexity and remarkable ageing potential. The grapes for this cuvée come from a small 0.3-hectare parcel located on clay soils with limestone scree, resting on a subsoil of blue marl. This unique terroir gives the wines an exceptional minerality and freshness for a wine from Provence.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Henri Milan wine estate uses a natural winemaking process, with no addition of commercial yeasts or sulfites, thus respecting the integrity of the fruit and terroir. The wine is aged for 12 monthsin 40% new barrels and 60% old barrels, bringing structure and complexity to the wine without masking the purity of the grape variety

The nose is intense and complex, revealing aromas ofbitter orange, tangerine, peach andapricot, accompanied by subtle notes of mint andwild herbs typical of Provence.

On the palate, the attack is full and silky, with a lovely roundness and controlled power. The texture is soft, almost creamy, sustained by an invigorating freshness. The finish is long, marked by delicate salinity and lingering aromas of candied fruit and herbaceous notes.
