Wine Description

Domaine Joblot 's Givry 1er cru Servoisine is the warmest premier cru in the Givry appellation. The Pinot Noir vines face due south. The winemaking process is gentle enough to provide as much accessibility as possible when the wine is young. The grapes are 100% destemmed, and 50% of the ageing is carried out in new barrels.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : La Servoisine is one of the finest parcels in the Givry 1er cru appellation. Juliette Joblot and her uncle Vincent have succeeded in sublimating this very special terroir, which produces wines with a powerful structure and great ageing potential. A juicy profile with intense substance.

On the nose, the wine reveals pretty notes of black fruit, with hints of wild sloe. There are also lovely floral touches and hints of violet candy. A wine of great finesse and complexity.

The palate is racy, with tannins that are still a little tight but will soften with time, giving way to a suave, delicate texture. The aromas on the palate perfectly complement those on the nose. Spicy notes and a hint of animality add personality to this Givry 1er cru Servoisine.
