This cuvée, formerly called Remus Plus, has now become Les Hauts de Husseau. Nothing has changed in terms of winemaking, and the style remains elegant and lively, in the Jacky Blot style. Harvested at perfect ripeness, this wine has everything to please, even in its youth. A Loire Chenin grown on limestone terroirs and essentially composed of very old vines. Phenomenal energy, chiseled acidity and sublime bitters.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Les Hauts de Husseau is one of the most accessible cuvées when young, despite its fieriness. The wine's acidity and structure make it delicious and easy to drink. Barrel ageing is very moderate, so as not to mask the terroir and keep the wine fresh. However, it would be wiser to cellar this wine for at least 5-6 years to allow it to reveal its full potential.

On the nose, the wine is charming, with the Chenin revealing all its delicacy. Notes of dried fruit and a hint of citrus give a sensation of purity to this Montlouis sur Loire. The complexity of the nose is very interesting and foreshadows a palate of the same level.

On the palate, the attack is full of fruit with good body, and the minerality quickly counterbalances the ripeness. Notes of Reine Claude mingle with more exotic ones (candied lemon, grapefruit). The finish is marked by superb bitters.
