Roc d'Anglade's Anglada Rouge cuvée comes from an exceptional parcel planted on the clay-limestone and siliceous terroirs of the Anglade commune. This wine is half Cinsault and half Syrah. On this parcel there are even a few vines whose grape varieties are unknown - Remy Pedreno himself doesn't know what they are. The wine is winemaked in whole bunches in old foudres , then aged for over 12 months in 500-literdemi muids.

Philippe Mischler sommelier at Mundovin : Rémy Pedreno is a talented winemaker who has made a name for himself with this simply incredible cuvée. A rare wine in every sense of the word, since its production is extremely limited and its quality outstanding. Yields are kept to a minimum in order to make the most of the terroir. We don't even reach 10hl/ hectare, which is tiny but justified to make a great wine.

On the nose, the wine reveals notes of forest fruits, a touch of blackberry and blueberry. A hint of undergrowth and black truffles. After two hours of decanting, aromas of sage, a touch of clove and a hint of smoke emerge. A very complex and precise nose.

The palate is greedy and spicy, with hints of wild berries. The tannins are clearly present, giving the wine a racy character. The wine is masterfully balanced between substance, freshness and aromatics. One of the great Languedoc wines!
