The Cahors Rays from the Mas del Périe estate is an ultra confidential cuvée that you must have enjoyed once in your life. It is a parcel cuvée of Malbec from the most beautiful terroirs of Combel de Rayssou. The terroir is mainly limestone, more precisely siderolithic ferruginous limestone and the production of this cuvée is carried out only when the vintage is large or when all the climatic conditions are met. On the 2017 vintage, only 300 bottles were produced. Fabien Jouves has not produced any since then, considering that not all the necessary ingredients were gathered to repeat this Rays cuvée.

Philippe Mischler, Sommelier at Mundovin: We have the great honour of being able to offer you a rare cuvée of the Mas del Périé estate which is simply the quintessence of what can be enjoyed on this terroir at this moment. This Rays cuvée was raised in ovoids for 18 months in order to bring maximum purity and especially authenticity to this great Cahors.

The nose reveals an unusual aromatic intensity. The notes of cocoa black fruit, black truffles and a touch of coffee are expressed with phenomenal power. A wine of energy and complexity rarely reached.

The mouth is elegant, the matter combines finesse and depth. The great amplitude of the wine is stretched by a magnificent invigorating acidity that brings an infinite length to the mouth. It is difficult to describe everything that happens as the wine is exceptional. You have to live this moment of tasting.
