The Chassagne-Montrachet Chaumes & Chambres de Morey-Coffinet is a curiosity of the appellation, born of the blending of the Les Chaumes and Les Chambres parcels. These lieux-dits, located in the southern part of the Chassagne-Montrachet finage , stretch from the foot to mid-height of a south-east-facing hillside. The vines plunge deep into the clay-limestone soils, which favor even ripening of the Pinot Noir grape . Organic viticulture, careful tillage and hand harvesting produce berries of exceptional quality. Winemaking using gentle extraction and indigenous yeasts preserves the finesse of the fruit, which is enhanced by ageing for 13 to 15 months in oak barrels, 30 to 50% of which are new, without masking the expression of the terroir.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: The wine estate's red wines are all of exceptional delicacy, and this Chassagne-Montrachet Chaumes & Chambres de Morey-Coffinet confirms this rule while asserting a slightly more rustic character in youth than the Clos Saint-Jean cuvée. This wine stands out for its structure and elegance, both designed to age harmoniously for at least 10 years.

The nose is immediately filled with the freshness of crisp red fruit and the delicacy of fresh flowers. Scents of damp undergrowth, leather and black pepper enhance this appetizingly complex bouquet, which continues to evolve as the wine opens.

The palate is unmistakably Thibault Morey: juicy and supple, structured by fine, already silky tannins. Flavors of ripe red fruit intertwine with a fresh, slightly chalky mineral framework, bringing length and precision. The well-balanced, digestible finish coats the palate with a harmonious sensation of bright fruit and Burgundian finesse. This red Chassagne Montrachet is undoubtedly one of the most balanced and harmonious expressions of Burgundy wines.
