Wine Description
The Meursault Village of the domain Pierre Morey is one iconic cuvée of the Gold Coast. It's a wine of exceptional quality from an assemblage of three small plots that total less than one hectare. The vineyards are located on the climate of the Forges which gives all the minerality and verticality to the wine, the climate Les Pellans near the famous Charmes brings a richness and density to the matter and the climate of the Chaumes de Narvaux gives freshness and finesse.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : This cuvée Meursault Village form a rare balance thanks to these 3 very different plots that perfectly complement each other regardless of the vintage. One Meursault which is refined, gourmet, sensual and mineral. What more can I ask?
Pierre Morey has been able to find the ideal method and the right dosage of each juice Chardonnay so that Meursault or the most authentic and as balanced as possible.
On the nose, the wine opens on notes of mimosa, honey d. After a nice opening, the white fishing notes and a hint of almond paste bring a lot of greed.
In the palate, we find a universe that is both sensual, greedy and fresh. Flavourings of pineapple, lemon, pralin and a touch of pear with butter complete a painting already well filled. A great wine complexity who was able to keep all its freshness thanks to the superb work of Pierre Morey.
