The Bourgogne Pinot Noir of the domain Pierre Morey is from parcels located on the name Meursault near the name Volnay. The vines were planted in 1968 on the so-called sitesIn the villageDressolesThe Beautiful Counts andIn Vaux. Pinot Noir has been cut completely in order to keep as much fruit as possible and ensure that the wine is accessible from its youth.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The cuvée Bourgogne Pinot Noir prepared by Pierre Morey is much more than just a burgundy. This is really a wine closer to a wine Volnay in view of the quality of the terroirs and the work done. The ideal wine to discover the style of the red wines of the estate.
In the nose, the wine opens on nice notes of violet, cherry to kirsch, touches of badian. A nice first olfactory approach that reveals itself in finesse in the purest style of Pierre Morey.
In the mouth, the attack is full of energy, silky tannins and fine matter. There are beautiful floral and fruity notes typical of the terroir of Volnay with an animal tip that brings personality to wine.
