La Grange des Pères 2015 is a red wine with aging potential, grown on rounded pebbles and limestone scree, blended from Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Counoise, aged for 24 months in barrels without filtration: a full-bodied wine with silky tannins and a finish where notes of garrigue and licorice linger for a long time. One of the last vintages crafted by Laurent Vaillé, and one of the great Languedoc wines !

A Vin de Pays at the pinnacle of the Languedoc

Domaine de La Grange des Pères was created in the 1980s by Laurent Vaillé. Laurent Vaillé trained at some of France's leading wine estates, including Trevallon and Coche Dury. Shortly after his training, he took over the family wine estate, then bought a few plots to perfect his blending. After almost 3 years of clearing the land, the first vines of La Grange des Pères were planted, and the first vintage appeared in 1992.

Today, the wine estate covers some 11 hectares and produces a cuvée of red wine and a cuvée of white wine.

The red blend is composed of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Counoise and Petit Verdot. The rarer white wine is made from Roussanne, Marsanne and Gros Manseng.

The two Grange des Pères wines are very rare and, above all, of exceptional quality. Undoubtedly one of the best Languedoc wines. It's worth noting that blending grape varieties is not part of the appellation's specifications, but this doesn't stop Laurent Vaillé from producing exceptional Languedoc cuvées that everyone would like to have in their cellar.
