Pinot Blanc Kritt from the Marc Kreydenweiss wine estate is one of the finest Pinot Blancs produced in Alsace. Its aromas are incredibly complex and versatile. It comes from a single plot in the Les Charmes area, facing due south at an altitude of 200 meters. The terroir is very rich in quartz and ferruginous clay.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: As with his most prestigious vintages, Antoine Kreydenweiss takes great care in winemaking and ageing his Pinot Blanc Kritt. He opts for long ageing on fine lees in foudre, which gives it an aromatic complexity and textural density uncommon to this grape variety.

On the nose, notes of fresh cucumber, green apple, coriander, verbena, hints of clementine and white pepper. All this is expressed with great elegance.

The palate is full and juicy, with an energy that delights the taste buds. Aromas of greengage, guava and pineapple are easily detected, complemented by hints of fresh mint and subtle dill. A splendid Pinot Blanc from Antoine Kreydenweiss.
