Wine Description
Domaine Pierre Boisson's Bourgogne Blanc is a purist's wine. This Chardonnay has been vinified and aged with the same care as the greatest Burgundy appellations. It has been kept in the cellar for 20 months on fine lees to give it great body and length on the palate. Sorting in the vineyard is ultra-rigorous, and the grapes are perfectly ripe, as always in the Boisson family.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Pierre Boisson's Bourgogne Blanc is not just a generic Bourgogne, as it might seem. This Chardonnay goes far beyond its status as a Bourgogne Blanc, revealing a complexity worthy of fine Meursault.
On the nose, the wine is marked by a magnificent mineral imprint underpinned by subtle toasty notes and hints of white fruits such as pear.
The palate is reminiscent of the structure and persistence of a Meursault. We're delighted to discover these pastry notes and a few hints of fresh almond. A white Burgundy wine not to be missed.
