The Saint Joseph Parady from the Bernard Gripa wine estate is a cuvée of pure Syrah from the commune of Mauves, which has mainly granite soil. Fabrice Gripa has very few vines on this terroir. Seventy percent of the cuvée is de-stemmed and aged for around 24 months in non-new barrels.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Cuvée Parady is a red Saint Joseph that has become emblematic of the northern Rhône Valley. This wine reflects the expertise of Fabrice Gripa, who has made a name for himself in this closed world in a very short space of time. For many, he's the new wine genius, constantly demonstrating his talent in both vineyard management and winemaking.

On the nose, the wine opens with hints of sweet spices, thyme and garrigue. After oxygenation, the wine develops notes of smoked bacon, black olives and hints of black cherries.

The palate is extremely silky on the attack, and also has great energy. These lovely touches of spice are complemented by hints of cocoa and pretty, juicy fruit.
