Wine Description

L'Argile Blanc du domaine des Ardoisières is the estate's first white wine, blended from 40% Jacquère, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Mondeuse Blanche. It is produced on the Saint Pierre de Soucy slopes, which are composed of marl, schist, clay and limestone. A highly complex terroir that makes this wine highly accessible in its youth.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Argile blanc cuvée from the Ardoisières wine estate is a very attractive biodynamically-produced Savoy wine. Its 9-month ageing in barrel gives it a nice fatness and elegance. It's a wine for spontaneous pleasure, to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with a nice farmhouse Reblochon cheese.

On the nose, the wine opens with fresh, fruity notes. Hints of honeysuckle, apple, pear and mirabelle plum. A touch of minerality completes this lovely nose.

The palate reflects the nose, in a style that is both gourmand and refined. After a fine oxygenation, the wine also reveals notes of lime blossom, hawthorn and a touch of ginger. A superb vision of the Allobroges terroir.
