Wine Description

With Bibi,Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz offers a red wine made from a blend of equal parts Gamay and Mondeuse. Biodynamically cultivated on clay-limestone slopes, the two grape varieties unite here to offer a gourmet, juicy and structured PDO Vin de Savoie cuvée .

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: The Bibi cuvée combines ripe fruit with just the right amount of structure. Very well-balanced, this Gilles Berlioz wine skilfully avoids the pitfall of being too lightly fruity. The blend of equal parts Mondeuse and Gamay is particularly judicious and successful. A wonderful surprise for lovers of Savoy Mondeuse in search of discovery! Serve chilled for even greater drinkability.

On the nose, the crispness of the fruit is immediate: black cherry, raspberry, redcurrant, with seductive violet accents. After a little aeration, the wine gains volume with a peppery, slightly smoky touch.

The palate is as juicy as it is acidic, sustained by very fine, perfectly integrated ripe tannins. Black fruit and violet are fully expressed in this supple material, right through to the slender, thirst-quenching finish. The whole is clean, greedy and inviting for refills.
