Domaine Partagé - Gilles Berlioz was born in 1990, in Chignin, from the passion of Gilles and Christine. The story began when the couple inherited a few parcels of Jacquère and Mondeuse in the Massif des Bauges, near Chambéry. On the southern slopes of the massif, the vines enjoy an exceptional terroir.

What sets Gilles and Christine Berlioz apart is their telluric approach to viticulture. Each plot has its own energy, climate and terroir, and it's thanks to these three principles that they bring out the expression of terroirs in their cuvées.

Respect for nature is at the heart of their work, so converting to organic farming in the late 1990s was an obvious choice. Respect for the environment and meticulous work in the vineyard are their hallmarks, but so is their work in the cellar. Constantly striving to improve, they combine technological progress with a firm grounding in nature, notably in the use of fiberglass ovoid vats in a horizontal position, as when the egg is incubated by the hen. Everything is carefully thought out and studied, so that terroir and man become one.

To meet Gilles and Christine Berlioz is to discover the noblest of farming skills. Their top-flight wines, as authentic as they are gastronomic, can be found on the world's finest tables. We personally love their Mondeuse, which reveals a depth and aromatic complexity worthy of the finest wines of France (and beyond!).

The humanity and commitment that mark their entire production process inspire immense respect. Their success is richly deserved, and shows us that Savoie still has much to reveal.
