La Deuse du Domaine Partagé de Gilles Berlioz is the only Mondeuse cuvée produced by the wine estate. It's a stunning wine, immediately captivating with its roundness and fruitiness. It often bears a striking resemblance to the fine Syrahs of the northern Rhône Valley, not least because of the clay-limestone nature of the slopes where Mondeuse flourishes. The vines come from a massal selection of a quality unique in Savoie. The winemaking process is totally free of inputs and sulfur. A homeopathic dose is added at bottling to preserve the fruit. In accordance with biodynamic principles, Gilles Berlioz also respects lunar cycles and carries out no superfluous work.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Gilles Berlioz is certainly one of the finest Mondeuse producers of his generation, and proves it vintage after vintage with this cuvée La Deuse. Winemaking in oval, horizontal vats contributes to the wine's distinctive structure, guaranteeing a large surface area for the lees to come into contact with the wine. The result is a wine of the purest expression of Savoy's emblematic red grape variety.

The wine reveals a powerful, vegetal nose with notes of raspberry, blackcurrant and bay leaf. Spicy touches of white pepper, licorice and cocoa add promising depth. Superb first impression.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a fine but present tannic structure and bright fruit. The Mondeuse varietal expression is direct, with no superfluity, between wild berries, country flowers and black pepper. The overall impression is one of gourmandise. A great Mondeuse, exceptionally delicious!
