Wine Description

Les Fripons from Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz is a brilliant, accessible Savoyard interpretation of Roussanne. Produced from biodynamically farmed vines on steep slopesof limestone scree mixed with light clay, this Chignin-Bergeron expresses all the alpine freshness of Savoie's Massif des Bauges.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz excels in revealing the sunny personality of Roussanne in this cuvée. Thanks to precise, unpretentious work, Les Fripons reveals a wine for immediate pleasure, which will reveal even more finesse with a little time.

On the nose, intense aromas of white peach, citrus zest and hawthorn blossom respond harmoniously to subtle, slightly smoky mineral notes of gunflint. Evolved hints of honey and Savoy arnica add a suave spiciness.

On the palate, the wine stands out for its liveliness and fluid texture, far from any heaviness. The aromas of candied fruit and honeyed flowers are brilliant, enhanced by a fine salinity. A pleasant minerality runs through the tasting, prolonging the finish with notes of citrus peel and damp rock.
