Domaine Joblot 's Givry 1er cru Clos Marole stands out for the complexity of its terroir and the elegance with which it reveals itself. Like the cuvée Les Bois Chevaux, the vines face due east, except that they are much older, averaging 40 years. Clos Marole is a perfect blend of freshness and complexity, a wine that can be enjoyed young, but which needs 4 to 5 years ageing to express its full ageing potential.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Clos Marole is one of the best-known wines in the Givry appellation, and certainly the one that helped give it its letters of nobility. Juliette Joblot has a particular sensitivity for this cuvée, which reveals a masterly balance after a few years' cellaring.

On the nose, Clos Marole expresses itself with singular precision on notes of raspberry, fig and dried roses. After a few minutes of oxygenation, we discover touches of white pepper, humus and even a hint of minerality.

The palate is incredibly fresh, with notes of slightly acid red fruit, floral notes that add elegance and a touch of spice that gives the wine length. A great success!
