Domaine de la Pousse d'Or's Bonnes Mares is a highly prestigious grand cru on the Côte de Nuits. Its particularity lies in the fact that part of the vines are located on Chambolle Musigny and the other on Morey Saint Denis. In the Middle Ages, the term "marer la vigne", which means to cultivate, bears witness to the cru's long-standing reputation. The terroir is composed oflimestone subsoil and very fine clay.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Bonnes Mares is unquestionably one of Burgundy's finest grands crus, and the one with the greatest diversity of soils. At Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, the vines are almost 100 years old. Around 75% of the grapes are destemmed, and the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months.

On the nose, the wine reveals a frank, elegant character, blending notes of red berries with camphor and undergrowth. The complexity of the bouquet is only revealed after 5 to 10 years' ageing.

The palate is tinged with nuances of black and red fruits in a very airy style reminiscent of the greatest Chambolle Musigny wines. Unquestionably a great wine in the making that just needs a little patience.
