Domaine Michel Bouzereau's Meursault "Le Limozin" 2022 embodies undeniable finesse and charm thanks to a unique combination of terroir and savoir-faire. This cuvée comes from a parcel replanted in 2017, located below the prestigious premiers crus Les Genevrières and Les Charmes. Positioned on a clay and limestone soil that perfectly captures the southern sunshine, this wine bears witness to the complexity and elegance of Meursault terroirs, all enhanced by a south-facing exposure.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: This more-than-common neighborhood is clearly evident in the glass: the wine has that graceful, floral side that brings it closer to the Genevrières, and also that breadth, that fruity, creamy density on the palate that leans more towards the Charmes-Dessous.
The bouquet seduces with its intensity and depth, blending floral notes of acacia, hawthorn and lime blossom with greedy aromas of stone fruits such as mirabelle plum, apricot and ripe peach. A tonic touch of tart apple and preserved lemon adds a lively, refreshing dimension, while nuances of verbena and chlorophyll add a certain herbaceous elegance.
On the palate, this Meursault reveals a full-bodied, slender texture. Flavors of sweet Comice pear, juicy nectarine and white peach are followed by a lively freshness of lemon and pomelo. A saline, dynamic finish gives way to menthol and hazelnut nuances that structure and balance the wine with refinement.
