Wine Description

The Abbatucci wine estate's Monte Biancocuvée is made from 100% Sciaccarello grapes . The very old vines are planted on a north-facing granite arena. Production of this wine is very limited, reaching just 3,000 bottles a year.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Abbatucci wine estate is one of the most renowned in Corsica, and rightly so. This Monte Bianco cuvée was vinified in truncated-conical vats, then aged in 600-liter tuns for 12 months. Jean Charles Abbatucci uses a number of biodynamic techniques to craft his wines, giving them a true terroir identity.

On the nose, the wine immediately impresses with its energy, finesse and complexity. Scents of redcurrant, blackcurrant and hints of garrigue come to the fore. There are also hints of thyme and bay blossom.

The palate is elegant , worthy of the greatest Burgundy wines. It is both supple and intense. A vast palette of aromas and, above all, a taste of return. A wine that is already sublime today, but still has immense potential.
