Roc d'Anglade 's cuvée Roc d'Anglade blanc reflects a blend as unexpected as it is convincing: Chenin (70%), Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Carignan Blanc on the stony Langlade terroir of clay, limestone and silica. It's a Languedoc white that's resolutely in a different league.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Few winemakers in the South of France can make Chenin their own like Rémy Pédréno at Langlade. The Roc d'Anglade white cuvée is pure and precise, with a salivating, radiant texture that grabs you from the very first sip. It's an absolute reference for those seeking freshness without sacrificing depth.

The bright, mineral nose opens with notes of quince jelly and fresh apple, carried by a touch of sweet spice. The aromatic freshness is more reminiscent of the cool hillsides of the Loire than the garrigues of the Gard.

On the palate, the attack is fresh and precise, with an omnipresent yet delicate minerality. Lively citrus fruit, full-bodied yellow fruit, chiseled acidity: all converge on a long, taut finish with remarkable salivating persistence.
