Thierry Germain, a Saumur-Champigny enthusiast

Thierry Germain is a winemaker who has been running his wine estate with passion since 1991. He benefits from an exceptional terroir in the Saumur and Saumur Champigny appellations. His 22-hectare wine estate is located right on the chalky soil known as Tuffeau in the Loire Valley.

The special feature of this wine estate is that the vines are planted with both red and white grape varieties. Cabernet Franc coexists with Chenin, giving a rare expression and complexity to the wines.

For Thierry Germain, biodynamic viticulture is an essential and compulsory part of his work, which he has been practicing since 2004. Thanks to his rigorous tillage, his wines gain in depth and power.

Harvesting is naturally done by hand, and the grapes are sorted several times to ensure the highest possible quality.
