Wine Description

Arianna Occhipinti's flagship white cuvée. This dry wine, with its floral aromas and fresh structure, is a real UFO when you consider that it comes from vineyards near Vittoria in southern Sicily.

Marc Walter, wine connoisseur: "I was totally seduced by the idea of making a Sicilian white wine with such balance, where you find minerality, lightness and a slightly fruity finish that makes you want to come back even more. 12 degrees of alcohol, fabulous drinkability, a unique style born of a passion for the vines and an obvious talent forartisan winemaking make it impossible not to reference this wine at Mundovin.

Admittedly, the wine estate has made red wines its specialty, with Nero d'Avola and Frappato grapes, but this cuvée, composed of 40%Albanello and 60% Zibbibo, is a real success and a real favorite.

The wine's balance is not only born of an alchemy between the two grape varieties. The minerality is a perfect counterbalance to the wine's freshness. The Zibbino grape is a variety of Moscato d'Alessandria, which gives the wine a soft aroma without heaviness, but with discretion and class.

Giusto Occhipinti is not only Arianna's mentor, but also her uncle. He is none other than the owner of Domaine Cos, a wine estate founded in 1980 and also located in Sicily. With wines of this quality, you'd think they'd be on the same wine estate....

When native grape varieties give us the chance to discover wines like these, we really need to go and see what's out there! A pure grape juice to be discovered urgently!
