Long description
A highly talented Sicilian winemaker,Arianna Occhipinti 's wines have become benchmarks the world over. This oenologist creates wines that defend theidentity of the place with naturalness and style.
The first time we tasted her wines, we quickly realized that we were dealing with a viticultural powerhouse. Arianna's philosophy is clear: she aims to make much more than just good wines, wines that speak of the land in which they were born and that also speak of her. The vines are all organically farmed.
Today, we call her a great winemaker for the simple reason that she creates natural wines that convey emotion while remaining accessible to more "classic" palates. Isn't this what makes her wines so irresistible?
In reds, her Frappato cuvées are exemplary. She uses this autochthonous grape variety to aptly convey the nuances of her fabulous Vittoria terroirs. Her first cuvée, SP68, which also exists in white, is also highly recommendable. Its 100% Nero d'Avola "Siccagno" is also a model of its kind.
The 3 huge Vino di Contrada cuvées, namely Pettineo, Bombolieri and Fossa di Lupo, nicknamed PT, BB and FL respectively, are all made from 100% Frappato grapes and represent the Frappato parcels.
White wines are more exclusive, but no less irresistible. The two cuvées are Santa Margherita, nicknamed SM, and the essential SP 68 Bianco!
With spring just around the corner, these wines lend themselves perfectly to the season.
