Wine Description

Arianna Occhipinti's cuvée SM is a new white wine made from Grillo grapes grown on vines at an altitude of 490 meters. These are surrounded by a forest of pines, oaks and centuries-old olive trees. The terroir is predominantly marl-limestone, with an additional component of white sand. This type of soil produces wines that are unctuous, full-bodied and beautifully saline.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The cuvée SM to define Santa Margherita is a new cuvée to be released in 2021. Arianna Occhipinti fell in love with this terroir, divided into 4 parcels with soils rich in marine sediments.

The first bottles are extremely rare, with only 8436 available, while demand for Arianna's wines is growing worldwide. We are proud and happy to be able to offer you this new Contradacuvée .

On the nose, the wine reveals a magnificent aromatic intensity, with citrus notes, a touch of vegetation, a magnificent marine imprint and touches of white flowers that bring lightness.

On the palate, the balance is fantastic, the complexity impressive for such a young wine, but it's certain to improve with age. There are lovely vegetal, gourmet and mineral notes. Don't miss out on this great Sicilian white wine!
