Wine Description

The BB cuvée for Bombolieri from the Occhipinti wine estate is a tiny parcel of Frappato planted on a promontory of limestone rock covered by a very thin layer of sand. A wine that is full of nuances and endowed with a dark side that the other plots don't have. This complexity and, above all, the rarity of its production make it one of Sicily's most prized wines.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The BB cuvée created by Arianna Occhipinti is a wine produced in only 2,700 units per year, and sometimes fewer depending on the vintage. This is one of the parcels that brings the most complexity and intensity to the Frapatto grape variety. A cuvée not to be missed!

The nose offers a broad aromatic palette, with hints of blood orange, goji berries, smoke, pepper and wood bark. It's an original, complex wine.

The palate reveals a dark but fresh profile. The tannins are just there to bring relief and coat the juicy, greedy substance. A wine that's still very young but already reveals perfect balance.
