Domaine de L'Ecu Magnum Taurus 2020 | Loire

Domaine de l'Écu's cuvée Taurus is a great Muscadet made from nearly one-hundred-year-old Melon de Bourgogne vines. The vines face south-west on granite and orthogneiss soil. The work in the vineyard and cellar is carried out with the utmost respect for the environment and without the use of any inputs. Ageing on fine lees for 20 months, part of which takes place in oak barrels, brings great harmony to this Taurus cuvée.

The bouquet is very interesting, with notes of white flowers, hazelnut, honey and a touch of apricot, atypical for a Melon de Bourgogne. A bewitching nose, so gourmand and, above all, without heaviness.

The palate is beautifully round, with the granitic terroir providing plenty of freshness. A touch of salt and minerality. Notes of lemon, grapefruit and hints of almond give a very gourmet flavor to the whole. The finish is very energetic and vibrant, what more could you ask for?
