Foradori' s Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco is a wine produced on the hillside overlooking Trento. The terroir is composed of clay and limestone, where Riesling Renano and Pinot Bianco combine to express the full character of the Fontanasanta vineyard. Elisabetta Foradori has chosen to age this wine in acacia barrels for 12 months to bring the necessary patina to this very bright wine.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco cuvée is one of the great white wines produced in the Trentino region. Its combination of mineral and floral character gives it admirable balance and finesse. Elisabetta Foradori shows her winemaking talent by managing not to sulfite her wines at all during the entire fermentation and ageing process.
On the nose, the wine reveals notes of white peach, ripe pear, acacia and floral honey. A refined and elegant nose that fully reveals itself 6 years after bottling.
On the palate, the balance between substance and acidity is masterful. The fruity character of this Fontanasanta Manzoni cuvée is enhanced by a magnificent touch of minerality that gives the wine its vibrant energy.
