The Morei "Cilindrica" Teroldego cuvée from the Foradori wine estate is a unique and refined expression of the Teroldego grape variety, grown in the emblematic Vigneto Morei vineyard in Campo Rotaliano, in the heart of the Dolomites. This wine, produced by the Elisabetta Foradori wine estate, is a true tribute to the region's winemaking tradition, while embodying innovation and precision in the art of winemaking.
Philippe Mischler sommelier at Mundovin : The Morei "Cilindrica" cuvée stands out for its unique winemaking process. After 8 months' fermentation and ageing on skins in amphorae (tinajas), the wine is transferred to 350-liter cylindrical amphorae, called "Cilindrica", for a further 12 months' ageing. This method limits contact with oxygen, preserving the purity and complexity of the aromas.
On tasting, Morei "Cilindrica" Teroldego reveals a wine of great finesse and remarkable aromatic depth. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of black fruits, tobacco and spices, with subtle notes of undergrowth and minerality.
On the palate, the wine is savory, juicy and impressively long. The tannins are refined and elegant, underpinning a balanced, harmonious structure. The wine's freshness and liveliness make it highly drinkable, while promising exceptional ageing potential
