Wine Description

Clos du Cras Long" is an emblematic premier cru of the Givry appellation. The vines benefit from ideal exposure and are planted on clay-limestone soils rich in pebbles, favoring optimal drainage and homogeneous ripening of the grapes. This geological composition lends the wines an elegant structure and distinctive minerality.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : At the François Lumpp wine estate, winemaking is carried out with meticulous attention to detail. Grapes are hand-picked at optimum ripeness, then carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, allowing precise temperature control to extract the desired aromas and tannins. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels, a proportion of which are new, for between 12 and 15 months. This method brings complexity and finesse to the wine, while respecting the expression of the fruit.

On the nose, it reveals bewitching aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry and spicy notes, with a subtle touch of vanilla due to barrel ageing.

On the palate, the attack is full and silky, offering juicy red fruit flavors supported by fine tannins and well-balanced acidity. The finish is long, marked by mineral and spicy nuances, testifying to the quality of the terroir.
