Domaine Adrien Berlioz 's cuvée Octavieis an exclusive gem of theVin de Savoie PDO, dedicated to a native Savoyard grape variety that is enjoying a renaissance: Persan. In this rare cuvée, this still little-known high-altitude red finds all its letters of nobility. Precisely biodynamically cultivated by the wine estate on clay-limestone soils in Arbin, Savoie, this late-ripening variety delivers a slender, precise wine with a fine tannic structure and a striking mineral freshness.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Octavie is an insider's cuvée, a red wine of character between authenticity and freshness. Its structure is vertical, slender and intensely rooted in its terroir. The Persian grape is gracefully reborn in this vibrant vin d'auteur.

On the nose, pure, racy aromas unfold with great vivacity: small black berries, tart raspberry, gray pepper and a subtle smoky note. Floral touches of iris and violet add a singular, almost Burgundian elegance.

The palate is straightforward, lively and chiselled. Natural acidity propels the wine to a long, structured finish. The tannins are present, but with great finesse, reinforcing the sensation of tension and precision. This is a wine that seduces as much by its apparent lightness as by its depth.
