Wine Description

Pinot Grigio Fuoripista from the Foradori wine estate is a very rare wine from the Dolomites. Only 8,000 bottles are produced each year by the estate. Elisabetta Foradori chose an 8-month skin maceration with fermentation in Spanish amphoras called tinajas to give this Pinot Grigio maximum character.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Pinot Grigio Fuoripista is made by Elisabetta Foradori , one of Italy's most renowned winemakers. It' s an atypical "orange" wine, with exotic aromas and a racy structure. All the Pinot Gris vines are biodynamically farmed, giving the wine an even more unique minerality.

On the nose, the wine opens with notes of blood orange, apricot, hazelnut and honeysuckle. This is a wine that should be decanted for two hours when young.

The palate is perfectly balanced between tannins, richness, bitters and aromatics. Elisabetta Foradori is a model in the construction of orange wines and never ceases to surprise us with the quality of her pure, racy juices.
