Long description

Domaine les Vignes de Paradis is a wine estate located in Ballaison near Thonon-les-Bains in Haute Savoie. The wine estate has been in the family for over 5 generations. Dominique Lucas, the winemaker, is currently in charge of the 6 hectares of vines. He produces wines from local grape varieties such as Chasselas, as well as wines from international varieties such as Savagnin, Pinot Gris and Gamay. The vines are cultivated according to biodynamic principles, without the use of weedkillers or chemical pesticides.

Dominique Lucas 's work in the cellar is carried out with care, with gentle extraction to produce fine, gourmet wines. Ageing takes place in a wide variety of containers, depending on grape variety and terroir. Traditional oak barrels are used, as well as ovoids (concrete eggs) and amphorae.

The wines of the Les Vignes de Paradis wine estate are luminous, bright and elegant. The Chasselas wines are at once greedy and generous, with a very singular expression of the Allobroges terroir. The wines that have particularly impressed us are Chasselas Marin, Un Matin face au Lac and Un P'tit Coin de Paradis. But also the more surprising cuvées Amphore, Savagnin, Pinot Gris Macération and Gamay Marin.
