Wine Description

Marc Delienne 's Fleurie Avalanche de Printemps cuvée embodies the spirit of Beaujolais in its purest, most vibrant form. Born on the south-eastern slopes of Fleurie, this cuvée comes from Gamay vines aged between forty and eighty years, rooted in soils typical of sand and silt derived from granite. These conditions give the wine exceptional finesse and energy. Organically and biodynamically grown, the grapes are hand harvested and rigorously sorted at the winery. The cuvée is then vinified naturally, with no oenological inputs, and fermented in concrete tanks with a short maceration of 8 to 10 days, followed by 11 months ageing, again in concrete tanks to preserve the purity of the grape variety and terroir.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Domaine Marc Delienne 's Fleurie Avalanche de Printemps stands out for its freshness and aromatic precision, offering a fine, racy Gamay . This cuvée faithfully expresses Marc Delienne's savoir-faire at Fleurie, with a liveliness that reinforces the purity of the fruit and the tension on the palate.

On the nose, the wine opens with a profusion of flowers and red fruit, dominated by fresh violet, wild raspberry and juicy cherry, enhanced by elegant notes of blood orange zest, delicate white pepper and bay leaf. The whole is both generous and precise.

The palate is velvety and remarkably supple. The fruit is pure and ripe, with a satiny tannic structure. The finish expresses the invigorating energy typical of Fleurie's finest crus, elegantly prolonged by a fine peppery nuance that underlines the greediness of the whole.
